Critical thinking key to climate change issue

From this article below. The point of the article is that critical thinking skills are the determining factor. And that general skill used to be the focus of a liberal arts education. It is no surprise that such training is being eliminated from universities by corporate legislators and administrators.

"Another significant contribution of this study was providing a better understanding of the nature and structure of Americans’ support for policies aimed at mitigating global climate change. [...] The finding that this occurs among the most educated respondents indicates an important role for education in helping citizens navigate the complexity of the political landscape. But it is not education of domain-specific facts, which has been a long-time goal of climate change scientists. Instead, it is more likely the critical thinking skills associated with generalized educational advancement that can help citizens form more stable opinions on this issue."
