Swift has long been presumed to be a crypto-conservative. But when she decided to speak out on the TN Senate race and support the Democrat Bredesen that myth was destroyed. And she is motivating a lot of her young fans to go out and vote. She said of Blackburn:
"I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for the dignity of all Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love. I cannot support Marsha Blackburn. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me."
