Colbert on the "Friends of Hamas" hoax

Colbert exposes yet another regressive fantasy, of which there have been many, and will no doubt continue to be. Just the latest hoax in a never-ending cavalcade is that Secretary of Defense nominee Chuck Hagel is associated with the terrorist organization "Friends of Hamas." The story "broke" at breitbart.com and quickly spread throughout the regressive echo chamber like a wildfire during last summer's hottest on record due to climate change. Or to a regressive, just a bit warmer due to natural cycles or sun spots or perhaps even God Almighty punishing us for allowing them queer folk to marry. Anyway...

The bogus story was started by Dan Friedman of the Daily News as a joke, thinking no one would take it seriously. Come on Friedman, really? You know how these rabid frothers make shit up. You didn't realize they'd run with this without fact checking it? Remember that they weren't allow fact checking to stop their knowingly lying campaign ads in the last election. Seriously dude? The story went right to Faux Snooze and then to a US Senator, Rand Paul. Yes, he gets his information from Faux. Remember those weapons that Libya was transporting to Turkey, again that didn't exist except in the mind of Faux?

Colbert notes it's no wonder regressives were on the alert from Hagel's previous shady associations. "He was once a Senate Republican." So anturally when the story broke they hopped right on the bandwagon of that most sinister of organizations, FOH, so evil "they it didn't even exist. What else is he hiding that hasn't happened? Is he a member of the Al Qaeda Kidz Club? Or the Muslim Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?" Colbert urges the President to withdraw the nomination, or he'll "lose the support of every moderate Republican, another group that doesn't exist." Amen brother, those days are gone when the GOP had some reasonable members. It's all whack city from here on out, with this story as just one more log on the already blazing wildfire of their insanity.
