Big oil must pay for climate chaos

To date we the taxpayers have bore the burden of paying for the disasters created by climate chaos. So some lawsuits in California have been filed to make the cause of this chaos pay, the oil companies. In such legal matters one must prove causation and then how much oil companies should pay, their portion of responsibility. This article cites a new paper that purports how to use scientific evidence do exactly that. It can scientific validate to what degree fossil fuels led to sea level rise and global surface temperatures.

I'm looking forward to see how these lawsuits proceed with such evidence. Given that they are in CA they are likely to succeed on the district and appeals court levels, given the progressive nature of those courts. But this one will go to the Supreme Corp, and we know how they will rule on this matter.
