Forbes: If Apple were a worker co-op then...

Each employee would earn at least $403,000 per year. Good article by Forbes, no liberal bastion, on worker-owned businesses. After all, it is the employees who make Apple so much money, so they should share it that profit. It also makes the case that worker co-ops:

  • Create sustainable jobs
  • Create a well functioning middle class
  • Pay more in taxes
  • Can start without heavy capital investment
  • Can get alternative community funding
  • Can scale up for large orgs like Apple
