"I'm interested in how we (usually) have a sense of continuity of identity over our lives but, in truth, change significantly both over time and as our contexts (especially who we are with and how we collectively frame our group identity) change. Not only are we not known deeply by others, we don't (typically) know ourselves deeply and we don't others any more accurately than they know us. We are storytellers. We craft narratives about ourselves, others, and the meanings of the situations in which we interface and interact."
