The Pentagon can't account for $6.5 trillion in 2015

See this shocking story, wherein a Department of Defense Inspector General report revealed that the Pentagon never audits its finances as they are required by law. Pentagon employees were routinely told to make it up to match the Treasury's numbers. This accounts for why hawkish legislators say we don't have money for social programs, because a lot of disappears into the black hole of the military industrial complex never to be seen again. Some of that missing money, I have no doubt, lines the pockets of said legislators off the books.
