Prosperity comes from the middle out

According to Hanauer and Rolf in Evonomics. The idea that the top creates wealth that trickles down to the rest of us is a failed policy based on the failed ideology of how economic prosperity is generated. True societal prosperity is generated from the middle-class out to both the bottom and top of the spectrum. And government policies have in the past, and can again, support the middle class to make this happen again.

The whole idea of trickle down arises from a false narrative based on metaphysical dualism, which sees reality on a line graph with lower categories on the left (or bottom) and higher on the right (or top). But the brain doesn't work that way. Basic level categories provide us with our most immediate relationship to the world, and such categories arise in the middle of traditional, metaphysical hierarchical structures noted above. More abstract categories like the most particular or general develop out of these basic categories. So cognitive science itself supports the basis for how functional economic systems operate on the same basic principles, the middle out. Which of course is the basic operating system of the Collaborative Commons.
