Reich: Why unions matter

When unions were strong, workers wages grew with the economy. Workers had power to negotiate for better wages, benefits and working conditions. Hence corporate raiders, and their Repugnantan legislative cronies, fought to destroy unions because they didn't want those fair worker policies; they were greedy and wanted it all for themselves. With the decrease in unions the above worker benefits also decreased, the intended goal. No worker power, no fairness, more power and money for the greedy. Know the real cause of your suffering and organize and vote accordingly.
