Joseph Camosy had two interesting posts in the anti-capitalism thread referenced in the last post, starting with this one. My response:
I see exactly the sort of people's movement arising from the bottom led
by the likes of Sanders' and Warren's top-down leadership as fulfilling
Lukac's requirements. Sanders gives voice and direction to an already
emerging people's resistance to oligarchy.
I
also agree when you noted that the kennilingus so-called highest kosmic
address is not necessarily the best functional fit for this, as it has
little to no connection with this people's movement. Hence I've resisted
suggestions that we fill Sanders head
with kennilingus to make him 'integral.' To me that is
counterproductive and smacks of just a top-down theory bordering on
ideology without the bottom-up connections necessary to effect real
change.
