House GOP gut the independent Office of Congressional Ethics

Yep, that was their first order of business  Monday in a new Congress. But there was such an outpouring of public response that by today they backed off and reinstated OCE rules. The OCE was "created in 2008 to investigate corruption and misconduct by members of Congress." We can see why the GOP couldn't abide that! Good thing we the people got active and complained. And of course Twamp is taking credit for stopping it.
