Chuck Schumer to head the Senate minority

In this story Schumer is likely the next Senate minority leader. This is not the right signal of a Party that has learned anything from this election. Schumer is a Wall Street whore for money and paid them back by voting to repeal Glass-Steagall, which caused the financial crisis, then for the bailout, an inevitable result thereof. He thought like Clinton that it was ok to lose some working class Dem votes because the Dems would pick up some moderate Republican votes, Clinton's exact downfall. He wants to slash taxes on multi-nationals. He voted for the Patriot Act and the Iraq War. He is exactly the kind of Democrat that must be purged from the Party. Or maybe just abandon that decrepit Party altogether.
