Despicable DNC argues it's ok to rig their primaries

Oh yes they did. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is being sued by Sanders supporters for rigging the Presidential primary against him. We know they did because of the leaked DNC emails, the veracity of which has never been denied. Plaintiffs cited the DNC charter, which states explicitly in Article 5, Section 4:

“In the conduct and management of the affairs and procedures of the Democratic National Committee, particularly as they apply to the preparation and conduct of the Presidential nomination process, the Chairperson shall exercise impartiality and evenhandedness as between the Presidential candidates and campaigns. The Chairperson shall be responsible for ensuring that the national officers and staff of the Democratic National Committee maintain impartiality and evenhandedness during the Democratic Party Presidential nominating process."

So the DNC lawyers are saying that's just discretionary. And besides, they argue, what do the words "impartiality" and "evenhandedness" mean anyway? Can you believe this? The Bill Clinton defense all over again? Remember: "It depends on what the meaning of 'is' is?" And never mind that Debbie Wasserman Schultz, then Chairperson of the DNC, said repeatedly on tape that the DNC is following the Charter to the letter.

Come on, does anyone really still think the DNC is a legitimate organization that can be reformed, let alone ever trusted again? You'd have to have a severe case of diagnosed psychiatric denial in need of lengthy and intensive treatment to think so.
