Hartmann: Take back 'freedom'

Freedom is one of those conservative catch phrases whose meaning they have appropriated to serve their misinformation campaign. For them it means the freedom to give billionaires and corporations free reign to pursue their greed and lust for power. For liberals like FDR and Sanders it means that to have any sort of freedom we need universal healthcare, a living wage, union representation, etc. You know, actual democracy for the rest of us. Oligarchy only provides freedom to the wealthy; democracy provides freedom for everyone. We need to learn from FDR here on the nature of freedom.
