Robert Reich nails it again in this piece. It's the foundation of why Trump and Sanders happened: We are angry about a rigged system that abuses us and rewards only the top. It's why many progressives don't want another Clinton, since we see her as part of that problem. And it's why many conservatives like Trump, because he says he'll fix it despite all evidence to the contrary. We want someone to fix it but we have to realize that someone is going to be us.
At least Clinton has promised to enact policies to address the situation and it really is up to us to make her fulfill those promises. Trump, while also making those promises, has not provided any policies that would actually do that. His tax plan, for example, just maintains the status quo tax breaks (aka corporate welfare) for the top thinking it will tricke down. We've learned that that rain that trickles is really piss.
So Clinton and the corporate Dems better take this election's reckoning seriously and get busy enacting the policies promised. If not the authoritarian fascist leader with promises made of smoke and mirrors might just be coming to the Oval Office in this election.
