Interview with outgoing FCC Chairman

Following up on this post, see this interview with Wheeler, the outgoing FCC Chairman. Wheeler notes that it was the ISP lobby (and their government cronies) that stopped cities (the people) from competing on broadband. The ISPs want, and have, oligopoly and want to keep it that way. It was the outgoing FCC that fought against the ISPs and for the people in that regard, largely in response to the millions of people that flooded the FCC public comment board. So government CAN be responsive to and for the people. Wheeler notes that government IS the people. That's not what we're going to get with the ISPs in charge under Twamler and the new FCC.
