Our house is on fire. Join the resistance: Do no harm/take no shit. My idiosyncratic and confluent bricolage of progressive politics, the collaborative commons, next generation cognitive neuroscience, American pragmatism, de/reconstruction, dynamic systems, embodied realism, postmetaphysics, psychodynamics, aesthetics. Reich comments on brands of populism
See his FB post here commenting on this story, where a populist defeated the conservative incumbent. Upcoming elections in Germany and the rest of Europe promise similar victories. There is a rising trend of people getting tired of the same old conservative policies of "free trade, global integration, privatization, shrinking safety nets, and deregulation" that enrich the already rich and leave the rest of us holding the back. And as in America, the two populist choices are authoritarian or democratic populism. Unlike Europe the corporate Democrats in America has effectively neutered democratic populism which leaves the authoritarian populism of Trump. Hence the Democratic Party, to preserve its power and kickbacks, have sacrificed the rest of us on the alter of this rising populist movement.
