In this video Gar Alperovitz discusses how we might change our political economy to one of we the people. First and foremost is democratizing ownership. Co-ops are but one example. This also requires that we link worker-owned businesses into larger organizations on every scale. Public banking is another example, which will invest in local communities unlike the big banks. There are more examples, but all are based on decentralized, democratic, egalitarian and environmental values.
