Why progressives lose

If you want to know listen to Lakoff in this podcast. It's the same story he's been telling for at least a couple of decades but the Dimocrats are too dumb to get it and probably won't yet again. So I have to wonder why Lakoff, the king of framing, can't frame this in a way that progressives will accept it?
