Good rant by Mark Schmanko in this FB post. Evocatively
parsed in poetic rhetoric. One thing though. The alternatives don't
just reside in pre-Socratic or pre-modern expressions. The collaborative
commons is already beginning to replace that Higher Selfish
(post)modern fixation as the prime directive. Rifkin and the P2P Foundation are doing a great
job in documenting this movement well underway. Instead of "leave me
alone" its motto might be more like "let's get it on."
Which, btw, is also expressing in how we re-frame Enlightenment itself, both east and west (pp. 85-92).
