Article at the P2P Foundation. From the abstract:
"Our main hypothesis is that in the current conjuncture, we are again
moving towards a ‘dominance’ of the commons format [...] that indicate and bring forth a new
organizational logic. [...] So what then is the nature of these seed forms for a
post-capitalist commons transition? We see the rapid emergence of many
different knowledge sharing movements (free software, open design,
etc..) and an exponential rise in knowledge commons; infrastructural
commoning is also emerging rapidly, and not just in the southern
European countries where state and market failure is the most obvious.
The way forward is through a dynamic interweaving of strategic
categories of commoning activity, the city state, productive
communities, both local and transnational categories of solidarity and
action, and the enactment of deep solidarity and value exchange systems,
protocols and logics that can coherence and strengthen these seed forms
into torrents of wise and regenerative change."
