The banksters refuse to protect their own clients

From their greed and corruption. In this article big financial institutions are suing Obama's Labor Dept. for having the audacity to make a rule that requires them to give retirement advice in the best interest of their clients. How outrageous, right? Said banks have for ages given such advice for their own benefit and if it harmed the client then so what? Why should bankers have to give up on extra profits in the name of human decency and fairness? And to ensure the banks win this one they filed the suit in an untra-conservative district court within the same kind of Appeals Court as the next step. Also see Senator Warren's FB comments on this.

Salon on a Sanders/Stein Green Party ticket

See the article here. They start by noting that Sanders has not ruled this out. They also make a good case that this 3rd-party ticket would knock out Trump because it doesn't have Clinton's weaknesses against the Donald. 47% of voters would consider a third-party alternative to Trump/Clinton. Independent voters will likely decide the election and Trump will siphon off a greater percentage of these against Clinton alone, but if Sanders is in the race he'll maintain a substantial portion of them. Sanders will also maintain a substantial portion of those who want to vote for an outsider in the race, whereas Trump will get more of them against just Clinton. Trump can use Clinton's cozy relationship with Wall Street against her but not against Sanders. Trump is to the left of Clinton on trade agreements but again, that won't work against Sanders. Trump is to the left of Clinton of war, but Sanders would win on that one too. Clinton has the email scandal (among others) hanging over her while Sanders has no such baggage. And finally, the Green Party platform is very much akin to Sanders' own and gives us real progressives someone to vote for instead of against.

Theo Horesh on Clinton

From his Daily Evolver interview including a transcript here. A few excerpts follow:

"I think she's a Nixonian in her egregiousness. Just looking at the campaign, and I usually ... When I want to enumerate her lies, I try to start with the most recent ones I've discovered going backwards. The most recent one, she creates the Hillary Victory Fund. This is supposed to fund democratic candidates at all levels. Mostly, in national elections. It raises $60 million. It takes in the highest donations at 50,000 vastly more than you're able to raise for yourself now, for one's self. It comes out in the middle of her campaign, that they've actually spent 45% of that money for themselves.

"That was only part of it. It's now come out that they've only spent 1% of it for other democratic candidates. She basically lied to the democratic party and stole their money and broke our unbelievably lax campaign finance, campaign finance laws. She's pushing us back in that way, very far.

Clinton is right about Trump being a fraud

In the Trump University scandal in this video. Never mind that she is too in her faux progressive rhetoric to win votes, but that's a story for another day.

The President on expanding social security

See this story. He's right, of course, that we should be expanding the social security benefits instead of cutting them and/or privatizing them. It's something that we've paid into our entire working lives and we deserve to retire in comfort and dignity after making all those millions in profits for the greedy bastards.

The real agenda to make America great again

Hartmann defends the post office

In this video Hartmann debates with someone who wants to privatize the post office. Hartmann asks about the $5 billion per year poison pill that requires the post office to fund the retirement for employees 75 years in advance, something that no other agency of private company has to do. And the opponent never answers the question, instead in typical Republican or libertarian fashion changing the subject to their favorite talking point. That's because there is no good reason for the poison pill, the post office in fact having a surplus until that intentional sabotage. The real answer is that the corporate cronies in Congress had to fabricate a deficit to make a case for privatization, but it's obviously based on a lie.

Trump University playbook

As revealed in this article. Trump is using the same fraudulent tactics as a Presidential candidate as he did in Trump U: lying, misrepresenting, intimidation, insults, high pressure sales, targeting poor people to go into devastating debt, and so on. This is your candidate America, just another snake oil salesman in it only for himself. If you are too blind and stupid to see the obvious then you get what you deserve. Problem is, the rest of us don't deserve it.

Clinton lies about the emails

This article documents the various lies she told that were proven to be lies by the State Dept's IG report. There's no way around that these were lies. So we have two candidates for President that constantly tell lies and none of their supporters seem to acknowledge or give a damn about it.
