So how do 'evolved' spiritual practices help the downtrodden?

Continuing from the last post, another point of note from the article, particularly for this forum, is that many of the down-trodden working class maintain religious belief and community to help with their malaise. And they reject to uppity well-educated that often deride such belief as superstitious nonsense. So how do those involved in integral postmetaphysical spirituality (IPS) reach or help them? Is perhaps its major emphasis on theory, philosophy and academy seen by those in need as just more of the same elite snobbery that they've come to reject? And if so, then how do IPSers use their 'evolved' spiritual alternatives to help these folks without trying to convert them?

I'll let you know if I get any responses from that forum.
