CA just defied the FCC and voted to reinstate net netrality

The California Senate recently passed a Bill to do so, which prevents ISPs from blocking content, prevents throttling, paid priortization or preferential treatment. ISPs are also forbidden from using deceptive or misleading marketing practices. The Bill moves to the Assembly for passage, quite likely.

Recall Governors in MT and NY signed Executive Orders doing something similar. Of course the FCC's repeal included a provision preventing local and State governments from doing this, so we're headed for a court battle, likely ending up in the Supreme Corp.
