Lofgren on the monster Deep State created

See this article where Lofgren nails it again. The military-industrial complex (MIC) has for decades created one boogeyman after another to keep up living in a perpetual state of fear. It's good for MIC business, but it must be tempered with "a façade of democratic process by putting forward safe, obedient, pre-programmed candidates." But their shock doctrine has backfired in the form of Trump, who is none of those things and instead offers straight-out fascism. And no, it's not populism, which is characterized by people longing to be part of a system that works for everyone. Fascism is characterized by scapegoating and deporting or banning others at best, and killing them at worst. We see in Trump and his followers the beginnings of fascism that will only develop into literal wars if this clown is elected.
