The splendor of the synthetic a priori

Synthetic a priori thought and magical thinking. See this Bryant blog entry and wonder about the similarities and differences between the above pairing. We know that Bryant thinks the Real is ofttimes missing from philosophy and suffers therefrom, so how do we square this with this magical creation of the synthetic a priori? And differentiate it with the magical thinking that thoughts in themselves create reality?
