Despite the Army Corps of Engineers (ACE) not providing the easement to drill under Lake Oahe? See this article for their response to the ACE, which said in part:
"As stated all along, ETP and SXL are fully committed to ensuring that
this vital project is brought to completion and fully expect to complete
construction of the pipeline without any additional rerouting in and
around Lake Oahe. Nothing this Administration has done today changes
that in any way."
They think the ACE easement denial is political and not legally binding. So they will violate the law and proceed without the easement? If so, what if anything will the ACE do? Send in the Army and National Guard? I'd so love to see that standoff, just like at Selma.
