American fascism was long foretold

This article lays out the past cases that have portended what has now happened with the rise of Twampler. And it comes under the false banner of a newer, better, greater America. The reality is a lust for power that propagandizes a pure American spirit that hates outsiders who taint that purity. It is led by crony capitalists, fake news and KKK rhetoric, all in order to further enrich the 1% and feed the rest of us not with food, jobs or opportunity but racism and bigotry.

And it was all foretold by the likes of Orwell's Nineteen Eight Four or Arendt's The Origins of Totalarianism or Huxley's Brave New World. Newspeak and alternative facts are driving us back to such works in an attempt to see how fascism has come finally to America. Granted we should have read these before it took over our country. But that was part of the fascist plan from the beginning: to demonize education and intelligence as something other than an America value. Fascists manipulate hard-working but ignorant people with fantasies of greatness to replace the tedium and difficult struggles of their actual existence that the fascists created in the first place but project onto those other, impure demons.
