Corporate responsibility? Don't make me laugh

Big Think presentation by Anand Giridharadas. Corps might have a corporate social responsibility (CSR) department but it's just superficial window dressing for branding, since their bottom line is and always has been profit for the owners. If labor or the environment gets in the way of that then they are the ones that suffer the consequences. So-called conscious capitalism is in that same category, thinking that the underlying principles inherent to that system can be overcome just through its wishing thinking disguised as a higher cause. The fact remains that the system tramples such fantasy when it comes to its ravenous profiteering.
