He explores the deeper issue that Dump is an expression of authoritarian populism. And that the entire Repugnantan Party has been taken over by it so the Dump is the symptom, not the cause. Hartmann notes that Biden still maintains that Dump is the problem, and not the Party and its underlying authoritarian agenda. Sanders and Warren disagree, highlighting the stark difference between the establishment and progressive Dem wings. He also highlights the difference between the centrists who claim to want to work together across the aisle with those progressives who are adamant that you cannot compromise with fascists and oligarchs.
Hartmann thinks we need a progressive populist movement to defeat Dump and I agree. Anything less will be 2016 all over again. Give Hartmann a listen in the video below.
