Continuing this post, Frank explains in this article:
"The danger of anti-populism is that it goes far beyond objecting to one vile politician. This was demonstrated in March as the anti-populist establishment came together to pummel the campaign of Bernie Sanders. Whatever its target, anti-populism is always a brief for elite and even aristocratic power, an attack on the democratic tradition itself."
So it is possible
to acknowledge the nature of the establishment Dem Party while still
supporting Biden as the best alternative to Twitler the wanna be
fascist. Biden at least is moving somewhat progressive under Bernie's
and The Squad's and the people's
influence, the goal. Getting part-way there is better than going down
the fascist road. But we don't need to beat up our comrades in
progressivism for acknowledging the obvious truth Frank discusses, or
worse yet, denying it. We need them to vote for Biden too. Calling them
Twitiots or trolls ain't gonna get that vote, just further entrench them.
