Stop New Mexico Bill SB 182

See this petition from ProgressNowNM. The Bill induces votes by saying that the money raised from selling the land goes to funding early childhood education. But beware that it is an ALEC and Republican scheme to sell public lands to oil and gas interests. So doing will destroy wildlife habitats and decimate wildlife populations for hunters and fisher(wo)men. Such pollution will also accelerate climate change leading to further and irreparable environmental devastation. There are several other means to raising money for childhood education that don't have these dire results, like reducing or eliminating corporate tax cuts (aka welfare).
