So the reviews are saying wow, he acted Presidential. The key word here is 'acted.' It was a scripted performance to make him appear calm and collected, you know, somewhat normal. Twamp is not normal in the least and no amount of lipstick on that pig is going to change that fact. If the media is going to be so easily swayed by the most transparent of fake performances then our democracy is indeed lost.
Colbert isn't falling for it and jokes about the content still being as fascist as ever. And media complicity in normalizing this wanna be fascist is exactly how the Third Reich began.
