See this recent article on neuroscientific studies testing Lakoff & Johnson's theory of metaphors. This
quote therein supports Desilet's criticism of Wilber, but from this
other paradigm: "Lakoff and Johnson’s program is as anti-Platonic as
it’s possible to get. It undermines the argument that human minds can
reveal transcendent truths about reality in transparent language."
Therein is also referenced a book for which Lakoff wrote the Foreward: Louder Than Words: The New Science of How the Mind Makes Meaning.
