Repugnantans leave restrictions on CDC gun research in place

The Center for Disease Control's funding for gun research was drastically curtailed in 1996 and ever since. And the Repugs plan to keep it that way. Why on earth would they want such research, given it will prove them completely wrong on the topic and threaten their NRA gravy train?
