Cenk supports the letter asking for open debate and free speech. But in Bari Weiss' case she abuses it to do the opposite. She co-opted the notion of cancel culture and weaponized it against those voices who merely criticized her, which is supposed to be fair game in open debate. This is especially the case with her position at the New York Times, which allowed her one of the most privileged vehicles in media to get her ideas out. But Weiss chose to quit that job--she was not fired--because some of her co-workers disagreed with and criticized her. So of course she signs the letter to hide behind free speech while herself wanting to cancel it for others.
