We all knew this when it happened but Bill admits it on camera.

As Bill himself famously said: "It depends on what the meaning of 'is' is." That is, given the circumstances of what happened to Bernie, and the people he mentions, including Clyburn, one has to read between the lines. Are we reading into it something that's not there? Maybe, maybe not.
