Krugman on the climate implications of the election

See his piece here. He's right that the major issue of this election is climate change. I just read that February was the warmest in global history. And the phenomenon is only accelerating at an alarming rate. So Krugman asserts that whoever wins their Party's nomination, the Democrat has to win the Presidency to effect climate policy via executive action, since the Republicans don't even admit to the problem.

But he assumes even Shillary would do so for no other reason then she is a Democrat. Yes, she opposed the Keystone Pipeline but only when forced to do so for political expediency. Same with the TPP. Most of us doubt the sincerity of her claims given her long-standing cash relationship with the moneyed interests that don't give one shit about the environment.
