Some on the left have been railing about others on the left who want to curtail hate speech. Their rationale is that all speech should be free speech, that all opinions should be allowed in public discourse. And that ANY limits on it are tantamount to a sort of fascism of the politically correct, indicative of the degenerate and horrid postmodern condition. Jordan Peterson has made this complaint popular. Never mind that there are legitimate exceptions to free speech in the First Amendment.
Now we have Twitler saying something identical in his recent speech. You know your argument is in trouble when it is supported by a real fascist. For example, the Twit said the following in defending racist monuments. Sounds like it came right out of Peterson's mouth. Actually it comes out of Stephen Miller's warped mind.
"There is a new, far-left fascism that demands absolute allegiance. If you do not speak its language, perform its rituals, recite its mantras, and follow its commandments. Then you will be censored, banished, blacklisted, persecuted and punished."
