Reading from the Report, upon hearing of the investigation Dump exclaimed "I'm f**ked," how innocent people generally respond. Mueller was hamstrung from prosecuting obstruction due to the Justice Department's opinion that a sitting President cannot be prosecuted, and Barr lied about that. Barr also lied when he said Mueller did not intend for Congress to address obstruction, when the Report explicitly states exactly that. In part 2 of his monologue, Colbert continues that Dump repeatedly tried to obstruct justice but was thwarted by staff who did not carry out his orders to do so. The Report cited examples. Dump's written responses to the investigation's questions had over 30 instances of "I do not recall." Mueller summarized by noting that given the voluminous evidence he could not exonerate Dump on obstruction, but again given the above left that decision up to Congress on whether to prosecute. Do your job Congress.
