"Billionaire Erik Prince, the founder of Blackwater, has reportedly been lobbying the Trump administration to deploy thousands of mercenaries to topple the Venezuelan government. Prince has even started soliciting potential investors to privately fund the operation.
"Trump and his enablers don't give a fig about democracy or human rights. Their sole goal when it comes to foreign policy is to reward defense contractors and protect corporate interests overseas.
"If Prince convinces Trump to authorize a private army of mercenaries that answers directly to him, it would be another step towards tyranny. We must remain vigilant."
