Vervaeke: Religion without religion

His presentation below from this Integral Stage series on The Future Faces of Spirit. His relevance realization is sounding like valence affordances. We need a sense of home and place where we share meaning in community. Sense matters, matter senses in that personal/cultural/environmental interaction. But that double-edged sword of salience also makes us easily fooled by fools. There is an evolution to our bonds and bondage. When they lose meaning it requires us to shake it up to transcend them. We need a new ways and means committee, a new worldview to discern from the overload of too much information. We need to pick up the tattered pieced of religio and go home. 

The new bonds must include the scientific worldview to transcend the mythic, yet as a counterpoint to mythic religion it too, like its adversary, posits and either/or dualistic solution of ultimate certainty. A new religio is ever-expanding, ever evolving, ever open with no final resting place, much like the ever-receding horizon. We must learn to let it be, the urge for final solutions and ultimate reality. While Vervaeke might be aware or not, we need to re-examine the religion without religion of Caputo and Derrida.
