Take back the framing of words

Even well-meaning progressives sometimes say we shouldn't call our agenda socialism, even democratic socialism. In so doing we surrender the meaning of terms to the opposition. Instead we should take back those words and expressions and frame them more accurately. Hence Bernie sticking to democratic socialism and defining it more to its original meaning. In discussing libertarian socialism Chomsky did exactly that. "We have to start by decoding our whole system of intellectual distortion before you can even talk" (5:00).
