Our house is on fire. Join the resistance: Do no harm/take no shit. My idiosyncratic and confluent bricolage of progressive politics, the collaborative commons, next generation cognitive neuroscience, American pragmatism, de/reconstruction, dynamic systems, embodied realism, postmetaphysics, psychodynamics, aesthetics. It ain't much but it's not nothing.

We the people can make a difference
And already have. See this article as but one example. There has been an increasing trend for big business to raise the minimum wage, like Walmart, McDonalds, Target, etc. And it wasn't out of the goodness of their hearts; it was we the people speaking up, demonstrating, signing petitions and contacting representatives. We did it. We're even getting said businesses and regressive politicians to acknowledge the problem and to start using income inequality rhetoric. Granted these folks are making the changes and using the rhetoric in an attempt to think they really care, when all they care about is their bottom line and are using the talk as a smoke screen. But at least they realize they need to do it or else face the sort of we the people campaign that costs them profits. So kudos to us for getting involved and creating a better world for everyone. And keep up the good work, for to rest on our laurels will only let them go back to their insidious ways.
