Supreme Corp Chief Justice admits it's ok to buy elections

We know full well that was the intention of the regressive judges on the US Supreme Corp in Citizens United and McCutcheon. In their recent ruling in Williams-Yulee, Chief Justice Roberts ruled with the 4 Democrats that States can prohibit judges from soliciting campaign contributions because it's a conflict of interest. The other 4 regressives actually voted to allow this, quite telling of their oligarchic agenda. But Roberts as Chief apparently felt some duty to his legacy to not be as stark raving corrupt as his Republican brethren so had to make a distinction here. As he wrote in the ruling opinion, while it's not befitting for a judge to do it it's fine that "politicians are expected to be appropriately responsive to the preferences of their supporters." That is, to their financial backers, not particularly their overall constituency. While such behavior corrupts judges it cannot in any way affect the outcome of a politician's policies. Uh huh.
