Thom's right, that the Repugs' spurious defense of Dump's criminal behavior indicates that they put their own power in front of our Democratic Republic. In the process they are blatantly destroying our democracy. But they never much cared for it in the first place, as is obvious by countless decades of supporting their rich benefactors while screwing we the people. At least now it's out in the open for all to see; they can no longer hide behind pretending.
