US drops to 45th on freedom of the press

Another hallmark of democracy eroding in our accelerating slide into fascism.

"The U.S. has dropped to spot 45 in this year’s ranking of countries based on press freedom, conducted by NGO Reporters Without Borders. [...] The report specifically calls out new leadership under President Donald Trump as the driver behind the U.S.’s fall."

The top 10 ranked for such freedom are the usual suspects who generally also score at the top of the democracy index and world happiness report. Where, btw, the US is also lagging. So much for freedom of any kind in the US anymore.
