In this Senate speech she lays out the details carefully and accurately. While there are bi-partisan provisions in the Bill with which she agrees, the rest of it is atrocious. She said (around 9:00):
"I know the difference between compromise and extortion." [...] Extortion is when "Democrats agree to make it easier for drug companies to commit fraud, to give out kickbacks, and to put patient's lives at risk."
She's right; there should be no compromise on things like that just to get some goodies. Democrats in general need to grow this kind of spine and stay true to progressive and populist ideals. It's what we the people want to see and what we'll vote for. If only the Dem Party understood this.
