Ayn Rand collected social security and Medicare

See this article. Rand was dead-set against such social programs, calling those that accepted them parasites. But when she got cancer and her medical bills threatened to destroy her, Rand was convinced by a social worker to accept social security and Medicare benefits to help with the bills. So when the rubber met the road her bullshit philosophy went out the window. And yet this crap lives on in the Republican Party and their policies. Btw, the article links to a rebuttal of this by a Randian, which admits Rand did indeed accept those public programs and then proceeds to speciously argue against them.
