Too smug to jail

See Taibbi's article here on the audacious excuses The Economist is providing for corporate criminals. Bottom line: individuals are not at fault, it's the corporate culture. And who is responsible for corporate culture. Did it grow by itself without individual leaders? So the individual criminals don't get prosecuted but the corporation does, meaning the fines comes out of the investors pockets. And obviously no corporation goes to jail, or receives any other punishment aside from paying the fines, no skin off the individual leaders' back. Hence no motivation to correct the criminal behavior and it continues unabated. What the hell happened to the notion of individual responsibility? I guess that only applies to the masses for 'regular' crimes.
